Just be honest, Im not here to judge. This is for a school project, and I would like to know how many of you would buy something your favorite celeb advertises.
Say for you fans of Miley Cyrus, if she did a realy cool commercial for a product you never tried, would you go out and try it because she advertised it? Or, if it was something you hated, would you give it a second thought and go buy some and try it again because she "told" you to?
What about you Jonas Brothers fans? Same question.
It doesnt matter who your favorite celeb is, the same thing applies. If they advertise a product.. will you consider it?
Thanks everyone.Nope.noCosmetic endorsements sells product, and after a while we find out it's not that great. Computer images can do great things. What I see is a living endorsement of cosmetic surgery. Men and women in their 20's have been going under the knife which is not fully understood.
When you look at other celebrities, it makes one feel that beauty and youth is attainable via the knife. At all cost, thousands of dollars, possible malformation, and sometimes death is worth it all.I'm a smart consumer, overrater advertisements always irritate me and manipulating the popularity of celebrities doesn't affect my decision much.Does the endorser have a past of endorsing quality products. Example: Michael Jordan...I have found his shoes to be superbly comfortable.
If the celebrity has made a habit of endorsing quality products, then yes...if not though No.I think the answer depends on why you like that celeb. Is it because she is hot? Or smart? Or you like his/her politics? So if you think the celebrity is hot, and she recommends a book - why would you even consider it? If it was a shampoo - sure.I would tend to be more skeptic if endorsed by a celebrity...why would they need a big name if they had a good product???i would prolly but only if it was at a reasonable price...and if I already tried it and it didn't work i wouldn't give it a second tryI wouldn't. I don't care if the celebrity likes it, i need to like it. Those commercials are wasted on me. lolWhen Gwen stefani and JLO and started to create shoes...clothing line and perfume..I never bought their stuff...If they were to sell fridges I still wouldn't buy anything from either one.
At the end of the day. When I look at advertisements in the media I look and think about. "How will that product help me to function faster....easier in my day to day living"?..That's what I think about product endorsementsYeah, if Chuck Norris said, buy this gum, it tastes like sawdust and cow manure, I would buy it. Just because he said it, I would pay attention more and want to try it.
(By the way: Jonas Brothers are FTL)No, if I was not interested in the product, I would not buy it b/c some celeb got money for telling me to do so.Nope.I don't know. Nobody would take me to the store, and I sure as heck would not walk. I love the Jonas Brothers immensely and I mean seriously.. I love them, but I don't buy products just because they endorsed it or advertised it, and I don't even buy magazines just because they're on a page. I like to spend my money on the necessities of life. Like, I wouldn't buy cereal made by the Jonas Brothers. It would probably be unhealthy. I prefer my soy yogurt for breakfast.I'm 23 years old and the answer is NO. I may purchase something that a celeb endorsed, but not because of said celebrity, but rather my need for the product and genuinely wanting it.
Now let's go back ten years when I was 13 and the answer is YES. I remember buying anything that had any band/celeb I really, really liked on it, because they endorsed it, or simply because they had it too.Only if its food and it looks good to the point where no matter who advertised it, Id buy it.
Im fat, so ofcourse I would.NO!!!!. Never ever I bought a product because of this.
But if an important person is introducing a product, I get a feeling to know more about that company who produce that product. That brand get noticed because of that celebrity. Another thing -I don't have a habit of hero worshiping. Again I know that most people are not like that.My answer is I am not inclined to think that I would not But.... of course on some level I might. Advertising would not even work or exist or even have ever been invented (if you can say advertising was ever an invention, its as old as central governments and also&money & gain) if this weren't true! I am surprised by all the vehement answers you got. Emulation! Do these people think that they are immune to the power of suggestion? Or what? I mean come on......even seeing an item or being familiar with how it looks its colors or logo can drive you to buy it over a similar or alike product but by less familiar brand. And we are talking here about advertising for products that you began to watch as a baby and have watched thousands of times since then
and will watch millions of times in your lifetime. Of course personal preference does play a role....I like coke and will pick it always over Pepsi...but does having made that choice define me????It does if you take it on a broad level we have democracy by choice of what to consume. And how much money we have to make those choices. I think its all a big lie.
Filthy Lucre.noDepends on the celeb and the product. I like Charlize Theron, but I wouldn't buy motor oil because she told me to. Now if she rubbed it all over her body.............Not if I don't need it or want it.Maybe, if I needed it or it looked interesting and I could afford it. I'd certainly be aware of the product after that. I'd tape the commercial and watch him over and over. On the other hand, if it's something too personal (bodily functions), it would be embarrassing to see him advertising it.nope
im a big jonas brother fan
and im not that persasive when it comes to celebrity endorsements
i only buy things that i likeIt depends. If I need that product, why don't we give a damn try. If that product failed to satisfy me, I would rather stop using it.Nope.
And I think you should have dumbed the question down a bit, 10 or 11 year old hannah montana fans wont understand your question.i do try to buy the product. but in "cosmetics" you have to buy a products that has no side effects on your body.
when the celebrity is endorsing beauty care products, it's all lies.
they have their good looks plus the saying of "Thank you Doc".#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
