Windows media streaming 700k - audio loses sync

  • i put streaming links (.strm files) to two gamespot video reviews at this url:

    http://ep.cluttered.com/xbmc/

    the 300k stream plays fine. the 700k stream audio goes out of sync with the video almost immediately, and gets worse as the clip progresses. you can really see it when it cuts back to jeff talking. his lips don't match the speech at all - it's not even close!

    any ideas?

    (i'm running version 1.1.0)


  • yeah, get a t1 connection, hasn't anyone ever told you that most internet connections top out at 500k. top out at, the lucky to get it if you can speed is 500k. if you're not paying 100 or more usd for your connection than you aint streaming at 700k.

    i have a 1.5mbit dsl connection at home, and i can watch the 700k streams just dandy on my windows pc. it's clearly a problem with xbmc's windows media streaming.


  • i have a similar problem, when i am streaming a video from my computer, it loses sync with the audio. the connection shouldn't be a problem, it is over a lan, faster than t1. any suggestions?
