Cant grab info, check weather or get rss feeds.

  • i only just installed xbmc 1.1 final and its looking great, but for one problem, i cant do a couple of stuff. looking up the weather gives me a error, trying to seek info and get a cover from a album or song, i get a cannot connect to www.allmusic.com.

    all this but i can use kml and browse internet music freely, with no problem, and listen to it. so obviously there is a connection!

    before xbmc had no problems in this regard.

    so i go back to my old xbmc version, i now cant do anything on that either (music info weather etc). whats gone wrong!? i hadnt changed anything in the old xbmc version.

    help would be great, thanks in advance.

    i also use dhcp..


  • did you

    *) delete 0face008 after you upgraded?
    *) resetted settings to default? (settings/profiles)
    *) check xboxmediacenter.xml for changes?


  • i didnt upgrade, i made a fresh new install of 1.1 and configured my .xml from scratch inserting all my smb shares etc..

    i also installed another clean 1.1 into another directory and gettin same problems.

    time update is working (just checked), and as i said before simplekml radio is working
